To pan fry from chilled
Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Allow steak to reach room
temperature. Rub with 5ml of vegetable oil and season with a pinch of
salt & pepper. Preheat frying pan to a high heat.
During cooking: For best results the pan must be hot. Cooking times for
rare are 2 1/2 minutes, medium 3 1/2 minutes and well done 6 minutes,
turning regularly.
After cooking: Check food is piping hot. Allow to rest out of the pan
for 2 minutes before serving. All cooking appliances vary. This is a
guide only.
If cooked rare there is a small risk that harmful bacteria may be
present.
Pan fry from chilled
high heat
3 1/2 minutes.
